Ask a Cappella teacher!

Ms. Erika – Voice and Piano

What advice can you can offer to our students, especially those that are practicing for the big Spring Recital?

When practicing your music, don’t always feel like you have to start at the beginning and work your way through an entire piece.

If you are familiar with the piece, isolate areas that are specifically tricky. Work on those areas and slowly work outward from them adding to the beginning of the phrase and the end.

By working on tricky parts like this, you should become more comfortable playing them within the context of a whole piece.

Once you are more comfortable with the tricky spot, go to the beginning of the piece and try playing through it, remembering how the tricky area was when you were isolating it.

JOIN THE MUSICAL LADDER!

Nearly 180 students are receiving their

Musical Ladder awards in April!

We are the only school in the area that awards students with special colored wristband bracelets, awards, AND certificates for passing musical tests! When our students have a test coming up, they practice more, and their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins!

Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends!

You can only get the Musical Ladder here!

WHAT WILL I LEARN IN MY MUSIC LESSONS?

This is a question often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.

The main reason to choose Cappella Music Academy as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.

If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. In the first lesson, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

We also specialize in music lessons for adults!
